Among the different types of bananas, the baby banana is considered the most delicious one, thanks to its sweet and delicate taste. The fruit has a length of 10-12.5 cm, a thin yellow skin which splits up easily from its soft pulp once mature. The baby banana can be eaten in different ways: by peeling and eating it whole, in fruit salad or in slices.
The baby banana is grown in areas whose climate is tropical and humid, between 1400 and 1800 meters above sea level. It is available all year round. The main producing countries are Colombia, Mexico and Ecuador.
