The granadilla is elliptic in shape, 6 to 7.5 cm long, orange-yellow when ripe. Externally, the skin is homogeneous and compact, while the interior is white and soft. The gray flesh is characterized by the presence of many small black seeds, soft and flat. It has a the delicately aromatic aroma. Also known as the « gold passion fruit », granadilla is the sweetest fruit among passion flowers.
The colombian granadilla grows in tropical climates between 1600 and 2000 meters above sea level and is available all year round. Thanks to its sweet and sour taste, it is considered a real natural dessert.
